Spinach Salmon Roll Recipe


For any festive meal I recommend this Spinach Salmon Roll Recipe, a tasty and great looking appetizer. Spinach in this roll crust will give a beautiful color and cream cheese and smoked salmon filling will give a special flavor.

Spinach contains a substance called saponin, which facilitates the absorption of iron and iodine content, proving highly effective in fighting anemia in children.

Also, spinach is high in folic acid (vitamin B9) and vitamin B12, which helps increasing number of red blood cells. Contains minerals such as phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and sodium, and also include vitamin C, E and K, A, B2, B6.

Has hypotensive, nutritional, remineralizing, aphrodisiac, laxative and hypoglycaemic effects. Spinach is used in cooking, in the culinary composition of many healthy recipes.

Salmon is a fish with significant nutritional value and health benefits for us, giving us a healthy mind, a strong immune system but also a healthy heart and skin, being one of the best sources of omega 3 fatty acids.

It has anti-inflammatory benefits, protects the heart and eye health. Salmon consumption was associated with a reduced risk of various cardiovascular problems such as heart attack, stroke and hypertension.

So, with such ingredients full of benefits for our health and for our children, I have prepared this Spinach Salmon Roll Recipe – a perfect appetizer but also it can be a breakfast rich in calories that fills us with energy.

Spinach Salmon Roll Recipe

Place spinach in a pot with hot water or steam enough to lose volume, then puree the spinach with an immersion blender until you have an even consistency.


In a pan melt the butter, then add spinach puree and leave for 1-2 minutes on the fire.

Meanwhile, separate the eggs. Mix yolks with sour cream and beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt.

Add the yolks and cream mixture over spinach puree, then add the flour. Stir to get an even consistency, then season with salt and pepper to your taste. Add the egg whites into the spinach dough, stirring gently.

Place a piece of baking paper on a baking tray and pour the egg-spinach and cream mixture evenly and so there are no holes. Place in the oven for 15 minutes at 360 degrees F (180 degrees C). When ready allow to cool covered with a kitchen towel. When cold, cover with cream cheese, chopped chives and spread evenly smoked salmon sliced.

Firmly roll together and keep tight the ends. Place Spinach and Salmon Roll in the fridge for 12 hours, cut slices about 1in (2cm) thick.Spinach_Salmon_Roll_Recipe
