I think we all like meatballs… minced meat, with lots of spices and deep fried in oil. They are found in almost all cuisines, are very tasty but not as healthy as we want them to be.
So, if you don’t like frying meatballs in an oil bath you can bake the meatballs in the oven like I did and they came out as expected, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
You can eat both hot or cold, great as a starter dish or can be served next to mashed potatoes drowned in tomato sauce with green peas as a main dish. Whichever you choose will guarantee a dish you’ll love.
These Baked Turkey Meatballs can be made of any kind of meat, beef, pork, chicken or turkey, but I advise you again, do not buy ready minced meat, buy a whole chunk of meat and do it by yourself using a meat grinder.
For this recipe I used turkey breast and baked in the oven are just great!
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Mince your meat if you have not bought ready minced.
Then peel and crush the garlic cloves, soak the breadcrumbs in milk and add the minced meat. Add the egg, salt and spices and stir until you will get a well blended composition.
Using a teaspoon take from the composition and form balls with your wet hands. Put in a pan lined with parchment paper, spray with oil to brown nicely and place in your hot oven at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for about 25 minutes. Serve hot or cold, as you wish, and keep in the fridge when done.
So this is Baked Turkey Meatballs recipe. Enjoy!
